Police are investigating the drowning of a boy in a Central Jersey town over Memorial Day Weekend. An explosion in Sayreville injured one person and left some residents without power, police said. The explosion occurred about noon on Friday, May 24 near Main Street and Sayreville Boulevard, police said in a release. Sayreville police said a related fire was under control.
